The primary campaign source I am using in placing Arrian’s Book 1 in geographical space is a thin volume with good maps and period artifacts. Reasons for using this book are the high reputation of the publisher for accuracy, the quality of the maps and the thinness of the book for travel. The volume is Granicus 334 B.C.: Alexander’s First Persian Victory
