Men in Hats
Jimmy 6 - An anachronistic window upon babyhood and boyhood.
Men came in hats.
There was something about the hats that made Jimmy feel like they had come from the same bad place and might take him away to it.
The shadow of the hat cast upon the wall was not a reminder of Daddy, whom he did not recall wearing a hat. Perhaps Daddy had worn a hat and discarded the practice after frightening Jimmy.
